Guest Blog: Kidpreneur is Here in Local SE Michigan

kidpreneur

The World Economic Forum identified entrepreneurship education as the core for economic growth because innovation and entrepreneurship provide a way for solving the challenges of the 21st century. Thanh Tran, founder of Kidpreneur in Novi, Michigan, adds that entrepreneurship refers to an individual’s ability to turn ideas into action and is a key competence for all, helping young people to be more creative and self-confident in whatever they undertake. This is the mission for Kidpreneur.

If you have kids or know anyone who does, you will understand that parents encourage their child to start in sports, music, arts and academic early in life. Thanh, a serial entrepreneur and a father of two, is no different. He believes it is partly due to two factors: we want our kids to have a balance of skills to be well-rounded individuals and also explore a potential, hidden interest that could turn out to be their calling. How can’t we encourage our young people to explore entrepreneurship? According to Thanh, entrepreneurship is more than running your own business and maximizing profits. It’s about encouraging confidence and creativity in our kids and being able to communicate and present yourself and your ideas effectively. Like any activity, entrepreneurial skills will help develop key personality traits that can easily overflow into sports, music, arts and academics.

Kidpreneur will be a kid-friendly place where kids aged 8-16 can get mentorship and hands-on training about entrepreneurship and the latest technology including web design, app development, robotics and more. The idea is to have Kidpreneur embedded in the local community where kids and parents feel comfortable and kids are invited to take live classes, online courses, professional coaching and the occasional game challenges with the staff. Kidpreneur plans to launch its pilot on September 21 with the help of Digital Roots in downtown Northville, Michigan. Thanh said “Northville is the ideal location for Kidpreneur because of its unique landscape and transparent border between its neighborhood and downtown business district. We want the kids to roll out of bed and be able to walk, run or bike to their Kidpreneur classes.” And Jay Wolcott, founder and CEO of Digital Roots, is proud to partner with the Kidpreneur program and hopes that his facility inspires regional youth to develop skills that will create a future of innovation.

Kidpreneur’s flagship class is self-titled where kids will learn how to bring their idea to life. The goal is to have the kids be excited about their idea, have fun building a business, give exciting presentations and get customers by the time they graduate from the course. If the kids do not have an idea but want to learn about entrepreneurship, then the instructor will work with them to find their passion. Other pilot classes will include web design, Android App development and LEGO® Mindstorms robotic programming. The classes will take place on Saturdays, lasting 90 minutes for 9 weeks, and the kid to instructor ratio is 4:1. The classes are taught by top practitioners with real-world experience and understand how to get the kids engaged. The graduation event is called Demo Day and will allow the young entrepreneurs to present their business and demonstrate their products and services.

Guest Blogging 101

Guest Blogging! What is it? A platform which can be a very useful marketing tool if done correctly! We would love you to guest blog on iHeartKids and reach our fabulous family of readers in over 140 countries! Here are some tips on writing a successful blog:

Niche Topic Based on Interest:

Write what you know about. Your post should engage a special area of demand for your brand, product or service.

Keep it Simple!

Don’t try to use fancy words which will only confuse your readers. Write for meaning and purpose, not just words. A simple 200 word post can attract more readers than a 1200 word post that might scare readers away. Consider using lists or bullet points.

Be Yourself & Get Creative

No blogger or journalist appreciates plagiarism so just don’t do it! Type words that come directly from your mind….As long as you don’t have any major grammatical or typographical errors. Oh yeah, don’t forget to tell the readers at the beginning or end of the post who you are and what makes you the expert on the post!

Keywords & Tags

Bold the keywords of your post and include tags of those keywords. This will help Google pickup your post in Google searches.

Link without Over-Linking

Remember to link keywords to your site but only link the major keywords that pertain to your post.

Common Courtesy

If you use a photo or content that doesn’t belong to you, give credit where it is due! A simple caption or copyright info works just fine.

Promote

Don’t just rely on us to promote your blog. Post it on your own site and social media accounts. Ask your friends to help promote the post too!

Engage & Follow

Ask questions and encourage feedback. Follow up with your post. If a reader comments on the post, comment back!

We really enjoy the Chobani Champion Greek Yogurt tubes that we won. They are super convenient & my son loves the fact that they are in a tube. Easy to eat & travel with. We freeze them too! Thank you so much again for choosing Evren’s photo & we appreciate all the yogurt! Yours Truly, Crystal & Evren

photo(3)

My kids are long-time Chobani Champions fans, but they are especially into the new tubes!  The yogurt’s consistency is creamy and the flavors taste natural, plus it is super fun to eat yogurt from a tube!  I like the tubes as well because I can put them into their lunchboxes frozen and know they will still be nice and cool, yet defrosted, by lunchtime.  I wish you could’ve seen the kids’ excitement when we dropped off a couple of boxes to share with classmates at snacktime!  It looks like everyone loves Chobani! Rachel IG: RachelBeard1111 Blog: www.rachelsrandom.com

Thank you to Chobani Champions for hosting such a fun challenge with us! And thanks for sending some goodies my way! I did a little sampling with my twin nieces, Katherine and Kendall. They loved Chobani so much, I sent them both home with a box of tubes. As for myself, I am not a kid;) well maybe a big little kid, I enjoy freezing my Champions and enjoying them as a healthy snack after dinner or a late night snack! I love the variety of flavors to choose from.

Creating memories

Hello, my name is Keri-Anne. I am a wife, mother, photographer, crafter, baker and blogger. I live with my family in the middle of England. We dream of living in a little cottage in the countryside and having some ducks and chickens. I love teaparties, baking, sewing and creating wonderful memories with my family.

Here is my blog post.

Summers are wonderful for us. The weather here in England is not so great but the summer, we finally get a little warmth and get to go out on adventures. I love taking the girls out for the day with a teepee or tube of bubbles and of course a picnic. We have a long list of things we want to do this summer including strawberry picking and evening bbqs at the lake.

Creating memories is a huge thing for me. These little fairies are not going to stay so little forever and it is wonderful to have these photographs to look back on and remember the lovely days we are having. This is why i think blogging is such an important thing. Just a few photographs and words now about what we have been up to may not be exciting but in five years time, it will be the most exciting post for us all to read as a family. Reliving those days and showing the girls how happy they were and the kind of childhood we tried to create for them. I wish blogging and digital cameras were around when i was younger as i would love to have had all these memories to look back on. It’s like having one big story book of their lives. I hope that the adventures we are going on this summer will stay with them as real memories. I remember a lot from around the age of 4, so i am enjoying creating these days for the girls in the hope that those day will stay with them forever.

My Life’s Mission

On here you’ll find  posts of my  illustrations, highlights of my adventures, special deals on my books, and how I find the balance in being a college student and children’s book illustrator.

My Life’s Mission; a little essay I wrote about why I illustrate:

My entire life I’ve harbored a passion for art. As a two year old, the first words out of my mouth daily were, “Where’s my pencil?”  My parents supported my need to draw by supplying me with sketchbooks, pens, and inspiration. I began art classes very young and my work was proudly displayed in our home. I love all aspects of art whether it be drawing, creating, sculpting or painting. My role models are not Hollywood celebrities, but artists like Picasso, Leonardo and Mondrian. Everything in my world revolved around art.
Creating pictures and making people smile is what brings me happiness. I am pursuing a career in Art Education where I can help children develop their talents and express their creativity through art.   I have had specific experiences in my life that have led me to this decision to be an Art teacher and Illustrator. I love working with children of all ages and backgrounds. It is so rewarding to help children recognize their talent and see  their excitement at their creations.

I have a passion for learning and a love for art.

My life’s mission is to help children realize their artistic potential and inspire them to create what no one else has ever created.
